Year 2011 for Punjab

There has been many ups and downs in Punjab in this year. Here are few highlights

• Manpreet Badal Launched His own party called Peoples Party of Punjab. Lateron formed a alliance, Sanjha Morcha with CPI, CPM and SAD (L) for Vidhan Sabha Elections 2011.

• India's Men and women team Won Second Kabaddi World Cup 2011.
• The Virasat-e-Khalsa in Anandpur Sahib, set to be thrown open 13 years after its foundation stone was laid, lends an insight into the turbulent events that unfolded in the previous three centuries in Punjab that gave birth to Khalsa.
• Balwant Singh Ramuwalia demolished His Lok Bhalai Party and Joins SAD.
• S. Prakash Singh Badal was awarded with Fakhar-E-Kaum Award.
• Ajit Newspaper Started Ajit Hariawal campaign to setup Green environment in Punjab and it was a great success.



• Wst Punjabi Singers Kuldeep Manak & Jagjit Singh, Harbans singh Jagadhari Wale, S.Gursharan Singh (Bhai Manna Singh), Story writter Jaswant Singh Virdi, Dr. Harnam Singh, S. Lehna Singh Toor and Bibi Surinder Kaur Badal.
• SGPC elections held in September and SAD won  elections in Majority.
• A great debate started for Prof. Bhullar Singh's Mercy petition and 84 roits in Village Hond Chhillarh. 
• Captain Amrinder Singh and Manpreet Badal held "Punjab Bachao" and "Jaggo Punjab" Yatra respectively for their Political parties.
