Idu Sharif born in a village near Nabha in Punjab. After his father's death, Idu Sharif moved to Manimajra village Near Chandigarh. He is living there from so long and hardly anyone knows about him.
Idu Sharif is very talented punjabi artist. He started his career as a Dhadhi and started playing sarangi.
In recent times, Idu Sharif has sung Jindgi de rang sajna song in Punjabi Movie "Tera Mera Ki Rishta". He has also recorded a video song with Punjabi Singer Jelly for song called "Dhola".

Inspite of being much talent, he used to run a tanga (bull cart) or even labour to survive in daily life and feed his family.But he kept his affection with music alive and used to participate in local functions (Punjabi Mela)
